Cancellation policy

Standard Cake & Custom Cake Cancellation Policy

  • The Standard cake requires at least 1~3 days of process of making. The process of making your custom edible work of art starts weeks and, in some instances, months in advance.
    From consultation, designing and processing the order, to ordering the professional supplies needed to craft your custom design.
    We pay the utmost attention to detail with our cakes and design and start making detailed pieces of your order well ahead of time.
    Due to high demand, it is important that you reserve your spot in our schedule and as our custom cake availabilities fill up very quickly, weeks in advance.

Custom Cake Cancellation Policy

  • At the time of consultation/scheduling your custom cake, we require an upfront deposit of 40% of the total price.
    By putting down a retainer with us, we in turn reserve your space for that date and can begin preparing for your custom design. The remaining amount owing is to be paid no less than 7 days prior to the event. Failure to do so will result in your custom cake being cancelled and deposit paid will be forfeited.
    The cake remains the property of Sweet FortyFive until all funds have been cleared.

  • For Custom Cake,
    If you cancel your cake order, for any reason, less than 10 days out from the date of the event the entire 40% deposit will be forfeited and no refund will be issued.
    If you cancel less than 7 days out from your event, the entire value of the cake will be forfeited and no refund will be issued.
    You may have ONE reschedule of your custom cake for another date up to 30 days in advance of the initial required date without penalty.
    Wedding cakes are unable to be altered once confirmed.
    Wedding cakes attract a 30 day cancellation notice via email to be eligible for a deposit refund.

Custom Cake Alteration Policy

  • Please note, it takes a lot of time to make your edible art come to life.
    We can only accept MINOR changes to the cake and design up to 10 days out from the event date. Any less than 10 days out and alterations can only be made for extreme circumstances.
    No changes to the cake/design will be made 7 days from the event date.
    Wedding cakes are unable to be altered or changed once confirmation of payment and date has been received.

Refund Policy

  • If a refund is due, all refunds will be provided as a deposit paid into a nominated bank account given by the customer.

Delivery Policy

  • We can deliver some custom cakes by prior arrangement to areas within 40kms of Coombs, ACT. There will be a delivery fee applied to the cost of the cake if this service is required.
    Delivery is only possible via prior arrangement and no changes to venue or time can be made within 5 days of the confirmed delivery date.

Local Pick-Up Policy

We encourage customers to pick up their custom creations from Coombs, ACT 2611 during business hours where there is a refrigerator able to hold your custom cake for your collection. This is to be organised via prior arrangement. You will be provided with the exact address once your order is confirmed by us.

 

Allergies

Sweet FortyFive accepts no responsibility for any allergy related issues arising from consumption of the cake.

Unless it is specified at the time of confirmation on your custom cake order, all products may contain or come into contact with dairy, wheat, nuts, soy and other allergens.  
It is the client’s responsibility to inform their guests of any risks relating to an allergic reaction.
